bio

Vito Mastrangelo is a Danvers, Massachusetts native and former NCAA Division III baseball player who attended North Adams State College. His experience competing at the collegiate level gave him firsthand knowledge of what it takes to succeed as a student-athlete and the dedication required to advance to the next level.
With years of hands-on coaching experience working with youth and travel baseball programs, Vito has developed a proven approach to age-appropriate skill development. His focus is on building strong foundations—proper mechanics, baseball IQ, and the competitive mindset that prepares young players for success at higher levels.
As Player Development Coordinator, Vito works across Canes New England programs to ensure consistent, high-quality instruction and development standards. He collaborates with our coaching staff to create progressive training plans that challenge players while building their confidence and resilience.
As Head Coach, Vito leads youth-level teams with an emphasis on fundamentals, fun, and building a love for the game. His coaching philosophy centers on creating a positive, competitive environment where young players learn not just baseball skills, but also teamwork, accountability, and the work ethic that defines successful athletes. He believes that the youth years are critical for building the foundation—both technically and mentally—that allows players to thrive as they advance.
Vito’s commitment to player development and his passion for working with young athletes make him instrumental in our Youth Canes program and the early development pathway at Canes New England.
